'What the hell': Bernard Tomic's girlfriend in Aus Open quarantine rant
A steady diet of gaming and Uber Eats is getting Bernard Tomic through Australian Open quarantine, the tournament qualifier’s girlfriend Vanessa Sierra says.
The pair have been quarantined in Melbourne after winning through to the main draw at the tournament qualifiers in Qatar, along with roughly 1200 other Australian Open players, coaches and associated staff.

Controversy has surrounded the arrival of Australian Open contestants as nine people, including one unnamed player, have tested positive for the coronavirus after departing for Melbourne.
As a result, 72 competitors are in full quarantine and unable to take part in limited training organised by tournament officials.
Speaking to NCA Newswire, Sierra said she and Tomic were spending up to 11 hours a day playing Pokemon and World of Warcraft respectively, adding that the pair had spent up to $200 a day ordering food to their hotel because the food provided didn’t always cater to Tomic’s vegan diet.
“It’s real hit and miss, sometimes the food is good, sometimes it’s not, so we’d rather order our own food,” Sierra said.
“And also when you do order your food they have to inspect it, and I don’t know what the hell they do, but by the time the food comes to you it’s so cold.”
Sierra also said Tomic’s training sessions had been cancelled at the ‘last minute’, and claimed the pair had no access to fresh air or sheets.
The 26-year-old, who raised eyebrows with a video posted to her OnlyFans account which featured Tomic, also suggested she would use the time to film more content for the page.
Tomic hoping for Australian Open resurgence
Despite slumping to 228th in the rankings and sitting out the bulk of the 2020 season due to the pandemic, the one-time world No.17 was the only one of 20 Australian hopefuls to qualify for the 2021 Open.
Tomic confessed to being utterly exhausted after his three gruelling three-set triumphs in Doha, but believes having three weeks before the start of the rescheduled grand slam, rather than the usual two days, will work to his advantage in Melbourne.
"I've got a little bit of time now to work on my game, my recovery, which I'm going to need to do because when you get down there, it's best-of-five sets. It's a different game," he told AAP.
Asked if he was physically ready to win a five-setter at Melbourne Park, as he's done twice before, Tomic said: "I've got a couple in me, for sure".
"Now that I have a couple of weeks off. If it was tomorrow or the next day, no chance.
"You need to build. You need a lot of long matches to get your legs, to get your fitness up.
"I didn't touch a racquet for like six months. I think I touched it once so I was not ready to play yet, for sure, until I started a month, two months ago. So I'm dead after three sets."
The 28-year-old former Davis Cup star holds the record as the youngest player to win an Open match and has reached the last 16 at his home major on three occasions and the third round three other times.
